What even is this?

Each Weather Feed newsletter is a collection of weather related videos, events, articles, etc. It’s a way for you to see what’s going on in the weather world without having to look for it. It’s meant to be informative but also a bit humorous.

While the Weather Feed is meant to collect general weather related content, there’s a bit of a focus on NorCal and California.

Why should I care about what’s going on in the weather world?

This is an excellent question. There are a few reasons:

  1. The weather impacts us all, although in different ways. It’s something humanity shares and it’s worth talking about.
  2. Having a deeper understanding of the weather benefits your daily life. You get more out of the forecasts (for example, it’s good to know the difference between a watch and a warning), and paying attention to the weather in your area enables you to make better decisions. For example, when there’s a high wind event, the direction that wind is coming from might make a big difference, especially during winter storms or fire season.
  3. Similar to just about any other topic, there’s good and bad weather info out there. Part of the goal of the Weather Feed is to pass along information from climate scientists, meteorologists, and other professionals.
